Love of a lifetime

When feelings grow so far within,
And swell within your heart and mind,
To seek out your desire, your only love
When I found this love my heart sang
We cherish every moment together
Decades pass time stands still
Only good remains the mistakes fade away
In each other arms with but one last breath
If there is an afterlife, I will see you soon
For there is no time worth living if it is not spent with you.

Serentacity
When hope glistens like dew on the leaves at dawn,
When the future seems bright and warm with decision,
You are at your peak when you have too many choices,
Each one more fulfilling than the last.

When you have dozens of roads that have never been paved,
When you have so many colors in so many shades,
You are at your peak when there is so much to think about,
Each thought more enjoyable than the last.

In all of these options and in all of these thoughts,
There is but one word that sums it all up, but has no meaning,
Serentacity.

In order to help sort my poems so that my readers can quickly find the type of poem they like best I will be using these primary categories, I may add more later.

• Love Poems - These speak for themselves, poems that express feelings of love, longing or passion.  These are ,mostly inspired by my feelings for my wife and family.  These could also include love for children, friends, family and parents.

• Light Poems - These are poems based on optimism, hope, joy, happiness, and what I call “Light Hearted” poetry.

• Dark Poems - These are poems that may derive from depression, sadness, anger, jealousy, worry, hatred and are the “Dark Hearted” poems that are caused by someone’s negative emotions.

• Misc Poems - These are poems about objects or events, poetry that is not really written based on an emotion I was feeling when I wrote it.  These include funny poems.

Most of my poetry can fall under one of those categories, there will also be a category for Short Stories, which will have my story posts.

Wanderer Thoughts was my first blog originally hosted on blogger.com, but I have decided to host it on my dreamhost domain.  I have resurrected the blog and will make the format of this blog solely dedicated to poetry and creative writing.  I have written many poems over the years and actually the title of my unpublished poetry book was called “A Wanderer’s Thoughts” which is where I came up with the name of the blog from.
