Happy Halloween Everyone, I wrote this one years ago, but I find it appropriate for Halloween even though it is about losing ones sanity and raving with vengeance.

Dementia
Ghostly daemons stabbing at my psyche,
Leeching the love of those around me
Ghastly cowards feasting on my senses
You bastards surround me

Hatred and Putrid beings all around me
Mocking and poking with their cocky ways
How they all shall breathe their final breath
When I get my way

The Lust Queen

With eyes that can swallow your soul
a face carved from the purest marble
a smile so evil yet so alluring
you weaken at the knee’s

The sages warned of this portent
this queen ravages those who worship
with a body that calls to any man’s sex drive
and a spirit that invites the most pious priest

So the mortal man gives in to temptation
The Queen savors his body like cheese and wine
His will breaks, his body broken
She discards him among the pile of those who came before

Free Heart
When the light trickles through a stain glass window
Your heart is free
The colors somehow calm your spirit
A hypnotic trance for your soul

When the light shines above a pale blue sky

The purity makes sense of the world
A peaceful sight eases your mind

When the light wanes through filtering clouds
Your heart is free
The permanence of it all eases your worries
A relief washes over your body

When the light fades after another day

The hardships of the earth have settled once more
A sleep that is endless brings you peace

No Worries

Worries are shadows on the heart
light shines through the shadow
hope and love slip between the cracks
and undo the fabric of worry

Time will tell where the diamonds are
diamonds like seeds to plant
they grow into opportunity and solutions
all will seem trifle in the end

So bring hope, love and luck to our lives
love each other and family to the fullest
for worries shall not divide us
nor our fears conquer our hopes

I wrote this poem after the birth of my first son when I envisioned who he will grow up to become and the kind of man he will be.  This poem was a tribute to him and to his mother.

A Mother’s Son

When the path of life becomes rough
the choices stand before you
The decision is simple enough
you were taught to be true
You are your Mother’s Son

You do what you were taught
You are proven to be brave
You triumph in life
The Future Bear’s your name
You are your Mother’s Son

This person you have become
The leader you shall be
the success you shall achieve
all because of one person

If I dance in Silver or I dance in gold
will you dance with me?
or do I dance alone?

If I tango and I salsa

The ballroom is ours the floor is wide open
my hand beckons yours is it answered?

The tempo can be quite fast
but sometimes just as slow

Love You Even When It Hurts

You are my goddess and my sun
But my frailties are numerous
How can someone be so great

I understand it takes strength
