Thinking About Curves

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Love Poems

Thinking About Curves

My mind keeps dreaming of your curves
My senses ablaze tingling my nerves

Smiling so tender I see the curves of your lips
Teasing me so tortuously with the curves of your hips

As if that were enough your curves know no bounds
Even after all these years your body still astounds

The curve of your back and tracing down your spine
If your body was a temple then you would be my shrine

The curve of your face putting all others in their place
To have and hold you I would begin this endless chase

All other activities, games and chores I would divest
Just to peek at the curve of one beautiful breast

I peek around the corner feeling like a spy
You emerge from a bath water dripping from your thigh

One can only want and nobody really deserves
What I would give to caress some of your curves

Why Does Mommy Cry?

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Dark Poems

Why Does Mommy Cry?

My daddy loves us as does my mommy
Why does my mommy cry?
What do they discuss behind closed doors?
Did we do something wrong?

Pretend I don’t know anything
I am older and can take it
But I don’t understand why
Why does my mommy cry?

I am a child they say I don’t understand
I know love, fun and they are right
Why would mommy and daddy fight?
We are a family that loves I thought

I don’t care who is at fault
I just want for you two to be happy
While you discuss we sit and fuss
Hurting but trying not to show

I don’t want to know
why does my mommy cry
I know that I only
Want it to stop for good

Two Sides To Every Tale

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Misc Poems

Two Sides To Every Tale

A murderer and a scoundrel
A man lies slain upon the ground
Justice he cries was found in death
Those who doubt shall see reason

A girl who saw the whole tale
Knew the truth of the scene
A robbery had gone awry
The victim had become the victor

The judge and jury deem him wrong
Just don’t buy his self defense
Forensics inconclusive no proof found
Where is innocent until proven guilty?

The girl too scared to come forward
Vindication would have been found
Her silent prayer just isn’t enough
To prevent the hanging that occurs

I am your bird

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Light Poems

I am your bird

You spot me without knowing me
Trusting in a company to keep its word
When you remove my packaging I am bare
Naked and undressed but soon to be more

When you stuff me with food from the earth
When you roast me and my skin crisps
Do you taste me and find satisfaction?
I am the centerpiece this day

So feast upon me my man kind
Amaze your family and friends
For I was your delicasy tonight
I am your bird

Happy Thanksgiving

Random Twitter Poem For November 26th

Posted by: dragonblogger    in twitter poems

I had some new contributors today and had a total of 9 random words provided to me from twitter which was the most number of random words so far in a single poem.  The random words are highlighted in blue, I also tried to accomodate some people suggesting a rain theme, dark theme, light theme and blended it all into one poem.  Thanks to the following people for providing me words:  @bteddern,@craftyGAgal, @summerbreeze80, @wizard1974uk, @SurfCityJay, @coyotesqrl, @lejonprime, @Benjphoto, @IntegralChaotic

Wash Away These Troubles

Don’t discount the act of rain
cleansing the skies and your worries away
the wind spiralling the water around you
cast away your umbrellas and be baptized

If you were angry let it be washed away
If you were sad drown your tears in the downpour
Let purity trickle from your fingers
The water cleanses despair from your body

The rain drops an infinite enumeration
Rectify your woes as the water does drought
So enjoy this tryst in the rain
Let it cleanse the boondocks around you

As your mind clears and your spirits soar
surfing through the sky your imagination lifts
as a digital traveler searching through firefox
you find a destination that untangles this web

You blink and awareness sets back in
drenched from head to toe you feel different
no more heavy heart and no more fears
your world is brought back into symmetry

What To Be Thankful For

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Light Poems

What To Be Thankful For

Be thankful you have a heart that still beats
Be thankful you have a babe that still sleeps
Be thankful the world still turns
Be thankful that fire still burns
Be thankful of all that you hold dear
Be thankful for that last case of beer
Be thankful the world is still right
Be thankful for day and thankful for night
Be thankful if you are rich or poor
Be thankful if you have less but aspire for more
Be thankful if you are better off than some
Be thankful even if you live in a slum
Be thankful for earths diverse creatures
Be thankful especially for our childrens teachers
Be thankful for all peoples variety
Be thankful for all of society

Happy Day Before Thanksgiving my readers

Random Twitter Poems For November 25th

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Dark Poems, Light Poems, twitter poems

Today I decided for an extra challenge to create 2 poems, one light and one dark based on the same set of provided words.  6 words were provided and are highlighted in blue.  These words provided by the following people on twitter:  @summerbreeze80, @wizard1974uk, @brullig, @WebBetty, @lejonprime

  • Dark Poem

Giving In To The Succubi

Do not be fooled by this voluptuous succubi
Her heart as dark as an ebon star
Heretical prophecies have foretold this fate
of a man who will give in and succumb

At first the words of the seductress fall on deaf ears
Her words do not fit together like a palindrome
But the more you listen the clearer she becomes
Just maybe you can be the one who wins her affection

Temptation is weakening even the strongest resolve
You decide to take a chance her body too sweet
You indulge in her pleasure and rapture is met
Just when you are sure you chose true

Her smile reveals fangs meant for you
You try to escape but now pandemonium erupts
Was it worth giving in to this temptation
She shall smear your blood across her lips

-Poem by Dragon Blogger

  • Light Poem

Chemical Reaction

You were told not to pursue this heretical pursuit
You had a hunch that this tree would bloom fruit
The project was greenlighted, you were given permission
Now to produce the components for fission

Smear some molecules on a frame
Induce a reaction with a flame
A chemical palindrome is one possible result
With a colleague you decide to consult

Pandemonium at a subatomic scale begins to occur
The reasons for this you begin to infer
A voluptuous sight to witness this display
colors explode in red, yellow, gold and grey

Ebon deeper than the color of black
Then something amazing happens with a sharp clack
The formula completes and the computers tests are true
A disease has been cured and it all began with you

Swallow

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Dark Poems

Swallow

Take this pill and the pain will all go away
Your hurt and suffering will be over
Your body will feel no remorse
Swallow it down and be rid of it all

You believe these truths in your heart
Empty from years of worshiping a false god
Intangible hands cradle a heart that is broken
All these tales are hard to swallow

So wrap this up already and make a decision
Sink or swim some would say to you
Wade in the waters and don’t look behind
Or take the pill and end it with a swallow

Random Twitter Poem For November 24th

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Dark Poems

Today’s random twitter poem consisted of six words that are highlighted in blue and provided by the following people: @reginasuniverse, @lejonprime, @benjphoto, @coyotesqrl, @SurfCityJay, @tami_squeak

Seeking A Pact

Tired of this world and these unending toils
Looking in the mirror day after day
Only to see the same face staring back at you
Desperation drives you to find something else

You have tried therapy to no avail
Hypnosis fails to induce sublimation
Drowning your sorrows and boredom in wine
On some days you teeter on the verge of death

With a flagrant disregard for your own life
You call upon the dark evil governance
And meet on a frigid icy moonlit night
You hold palaver with the demons of the dark

In exchange for a new purpose and new life
They may have your soul in the end
You awake the next day a king among men
Wealth and power are at your fingertips

You walk among your people who cower in fear
Those who derided you now show you respect
All seems to be going as planned
A slip on a walkway then breaks your neck

Forces of Nature

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Misc Poems

Forces of Nature

Bow before the forces of nature
For against them you have no defense
The air shall sweep you from this earth
Water shall crash upon your body
Earth shall open to swallow you whole
Leaving the fire to char your remains

Give respect to the forces of nature
They existed before you arrived
And will last long after your memory fades
You are but a grain of sand in the beach
And the ocean swallows you all in the end
Remember this for the rest of your days
