Angry Mob

Hatred burns like a raging inferno
Anger begets more violence as the mob turns
from one victim to the next with no logic
I can do nothing but get lost myself
flowing with the tides of rage
as glass breaks from broken bottles
protest turned riot breeds insanity
and the fires of unstable minds keep burning
and I can do nothing but partake
for I light my candle from their torches
and their fuel keeps my fires burning hot

-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Poem inspired by the challenge presented on The Voices in our Heads which was to use the phrase “For I light my candle from their torches”.
