Today’s random twitter poem is about the aftermath of some sort of domestic dispute where the man realizes he was wrong and rushes after his love to apologize. This poem was inspired by the 21 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers:

Apology Accepted

Hoping for a propensity of forgiveness
scintillating revitalized hope

A brumby galloping along a rhumb
meteor of repent on leather boots

You approach her feeling like
the ignoramus that you were

A simple apologetic word grates
like an extraction from your throat

No doublespeak this time, this day
Simply “Sorry” cannot be misconstrued

Life itself grows lucent around you
disquieted temporary aphonia like a Mafia Godfather

But instead of a xenophobia like reaction
your apology is accepted sincerely

You tremble, arms and hands weakened
as if afflicted by a carpal syndrome

And you both walk away holding hands
fingers intertwined like a living chain

Ingenuity of the simplest apology
led to Apology Accepted
