Today’s poem “Broken Heart” is about someone being blind sided with a “I think we should break up” type of scenario. It was inspired by the 11 random words, really 13 (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers:

Broken Heart

Lethargic like a flower without sunshine
or a bunsen burner without oil

My face becoming pale and yellow
as if suffering from ictericia

Was I wearing blinders over my eyes?
no forewarning of the imminent situation

Incontrovertible words I can barely process
a formidable decision of which I had no vote

Our original genuine love just an illusion
now a swift execution of my broken heart
