Carcass is a poem about a corpse that is being feasted on by lions while vultures try to steal their share. It was inspired by the 15 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers.
@KathrynVercillo (plumage), @omgzam (Ducati), @Ileane (relinquish), @minnie_madz (persistence), @AttilaBS (provoke), @anahbird (apple), @stevejclark (turnabout), @Jemfyr (nuance), @therealfracas (ptyalism), @ReagenAllen (twitter), @Poetic_line (penultimate),
@TrinaMb (viable), @Sara_Valor (lamplight), @UnbelievaBeal (extrapolate), @filigreegirl (entre nous)Carcass
Vultures twitter about entre nous, plumage rustling
a penultimate feast invoking ptyalism around
yet great cats won’t relinquish possession
massive throats purring like Ducati engines
eyes easily able to extrapolate intentions
the birds turnabout and provoke a nuance reaction
cats startled faces aglow like fire from a lamplight
seizing their viable chance with razor beaks
an Adam’s apple torn out and swallowed quickly
before the cats close in and frighten them off
the dance repeats for claim of the carcass
and persistence eventually pays off-Poem by Dragon Blogger

I would LOVE to recite this poem as spoken word. Just tell me how to pronounce ptyalism (and what it means). HA!
Great job on the poem!
@ ileane – the word ptyalism came from a post I wrote over at my other blog, fraccers.
The pronunciation is there:
http://fraccers.com/2010/01/ptyalism-i-could-just-spit/
It means excessive salivation, usually in pregnancy, but there are other medical causes that can be more serious.

Thank you
Oh wow, that’s neat and quite impressive the way that was done just with the inspiration of those 15 words. Neat! I like the line and persistence finally pays off…it usually does.
Thanks for reading it, it is a fun mental exercise.
