Initiation online – Guest Poem by Zorlone

Initiation online

I venture into cyberspace,
where my weapon is my mind.
The enemy is my solace,
a venture to a land unkind.

Sweet remedy to necessities,
in this growing time I desire.
Allied bloggers are my power fifty,
through a dark interface – words set afire.

The engine searches treasures,
that I tag for them to find.
My reward – grateful immortality. Measures,
the right link left behind.

In my war of man and machine,
this surreal intrepid place.
Sacrifice this willful stream,
friendly smiles beyond disgrace.

I venture into cyberspace,
brave and bold heavily written on my face.

New Year Dawning – Guest Poem by V. Mahfood

New Year Dawning

The sun rather feebly struggled to shine,
Causing fractions of sky to light up.
Flowers pushed heavy heads out of the soil,
Drunk with sweet water from nature’s own cup.

The grass sparkled and glimmered – a carpet of emeralds,
Drops of water reclined on silk petals of rose.
Trickling down to the ground as a gentle, cool breeze,
Spread the heady perfume throughout orchard groves.

Birds shook sodden wings and  soft feathered heads,
Rejoicing in the golden, warm sunshine.
Their sweet tunes traveled throughout the air,
As they wove their love nests with dried twigs and twine.

The sun transformed to a ball of orange flame,
Was merciless soon in its sphere of fierce heat.
Shining in all its supreme glory down,
On the freshly-washed world now ready to greet.

In Your Hands – Guest Poem by Shona Germino

In Your Hands

I think of you each morning,
And dream of you each night,
I think of your arms being around me,
And cannot express my delight,
Never have I fallen,
But I am quickly on my way,
You hold a heart in your hands,
That has never before been given away.

Before Nights End – Poem by The Salty Chef

Guest Poetry
31 Aug 2009

The Salty Chef decided to contribute a poem for Wanderer Thoughts while I am out on my Disney Cruise, lets give her a warm welcome by leaving some comments on what you think of her poem.

Before Nights End

Before night ends this is what I must do
The night calls to me as if I am a lost soul
The darkness is here, but the light is far
The sounds I hear within my mind distract from what I must do
I only have the night, but only till light
I must complete my mission for it is my path
If I fail, the light fades forever, so this is what I must do before night ends

Messy – Original Poem by Shona Germino

Guest Poetry
21 Jul 2009

Since I am traveling for work today, my wife volunteered to write a poem for my blog while I am gone.

Messy

Snot, peanut butter, and some sort of sticky red stuff
Gosh something smells in here
What is this on my hands? Its brown….. did I remember to wash my hands?
Crumbs, crayons, hard pieces of dried out cheese
Gosh it smells in here
Leaves from out back, dirt and sand on the floor
Gosh something smells in here
Sweaty socks lying on the floor
Gosh it smells in here
Wait! I just found cheerios, crackers, gummy bears and cookie crumbs and more dried cheese in the couch cushions
Gosh something smells in here
There you are standing there cute as can be
My tiny little sweet all for me
