The World at Nightmare’s End

What a little oddity
An object that is no commodity
An object in a place
With a person who has no face

Simple tests over endless time
Without reason and without rhyme
Ghosts in past there is our futures
Frozen rivers with frozen features

Formless mouths speak wordless words
Beasts swarm in uneven herds
Screams and shouts in empty caves
Beasts of burden treated like slaves

All this creation lies given birth
Scattered about upon this earth
Swallow dreams and spit out fortune
The Bitter aftertaste of ones misfortune

The trouble is that there is no end
Messages are written with nowhere to send
Boys chase girls and girls are strong
Nobody knows which is right or wrong

Upside down this life it seems
Will be answered in ones dreams
One finds his own great power
When he reaches his final hour
