Chance Encounter – Random Twitter Poem for June 2nd
Today’s random twitter poem is about a chance encounter and love at first sight, which is one of my favorite themes for my poetry. Today’s poem was inspired by the 6 random words (in blue) provided by my twitter followers last week.
I wrote this poem on Thursday night and set it to post today.
Thanks to:
@zorlone (apoptosis), @filigreegirl (fovea), @SurfCityJay (register), @ebb567 (city), @RemBeatZ (straightening), @shemah (laundry)
Chance Encounter
In a bustling city
In a busy store
At a simple register
At a quarter past four
A thought dissolves like apoptosis
A fovea forms in your belly
Your eyes lock onto hers
Your heart melts like jelly
Her straightening fingers so graceful
Her face the definition of beauty
The aura around her, so enchanting
The smell of her perfume, so fruity
How you imagine your laundry mixed
How you see your life together play out
You would marry her today if she would have you
You would marry her, without any doubt
