Corruption of Power is a poem about someone who is consumed with power and is only interested in attaining such. It showcases such a person at a party or event with the only intention of gaining some lead. Poem was inspired by the 13 random words (in blue) submitted today by the following twitter friends:
@buddawiggi (fish), @HollyJahangiri (diatribe), @geb0i (linoleum), @ryjr (resignedly), @Wwm_Shakespeare (curtsy), @blusol (consumption), @inab2 (sardonic), @Sakariwrites (chocolate), @AnnEvanston (champagne), @MetallmanX (jargon), @mikki_fit (outlet), @cooliphoneapps1 (maneuver), @wishinghearts (ligament)

Corruption of Power

A false curtsy and sardonic smile
people toast over chocolate and champagne
jargon of conversations a networking outlet
intentions to maneuver as plain and hard
as the linoleum floor you are standing on
those who would curse you a diatribe
a rotten fish floating in a putrid lake
resignedly realize power comes at a price
the consumption of values and ethics
a ligament that go connects the two
as power breeds corruption
