In truth this poem today used some of the most complicated and hard to connect words I have ever seen played in a Twitter poem with many having such obscure references or definitions I almost had to define them all for readers to understand the poem. In the end the poem ironically is about the press, buzz and expectations of a great game only to be severely disappointed. This poem included 12 random words (in bold) provided by the following Twitter players: @goodyniosi (bubblegum), @originalbadbele (nebula, aeolist), @mlg_reapz (fan), @solomonobaje (Confabulate), @aluwir (exponential), @asifnkhan (fantabulous ), @shellimartineau (verily), @sereneprincess (celebrate), @davelucas (jezebel), @bovelett (voracious), @cherryrasulka (Studious)
Definitions:
Bubblegum Crisis: Refers to the Japanese Anime that is a cyberpunk future, for the poem reference a sci-fi/cyberpunk type of game.
Aolist: this word means to fake spirituality or in this case have belief.
Fantabulous: is a combination of fantastic and fabulous
Confabulate: means to converse informally or chat
Jezebel: a wicked, shameless woman, referring to the wife of Ahab, King of Israel.
Verily: In truth
Studious: painstaking, diligent, study.
Disappointing Release
Not a fan of
this Bubblegum Crisis
studious digital nebula
of exponential disdain
even an aeolist fan
would confabulate
hoping to celebrate
this glorious release
fantabulous times expected
as proclaimed and assured
but ending up with
a verily voracious
Jezebel instead
