Driven Off – Random Twitter Poem for April 23rd

Driven Off is a poem about a boy looking for love but is banished from a village after being smitten with a girl. It was inspired by the 11 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter players today:
@fragileheart (mendacity), @Ileane (inadequate), @FatChickinLA (pentatonic), @dreamon51 (wanderlust), @AttilaBS (oleiferous), @christianBON (quomodocunquize), @filigreegirl (amative), @StarMars (petrify), @stevejclark (drove), @dereksemmler (lethargic), @RyanHanzel (muddy)

Driven Off

Inadequate mendacity declared
lone amative boy stricken by grief
oleiferous spirit drove wanderlust
with no intention to quomodocunquize
only find his heart’s true path

Jeered and sent away in banishment
a young girls reputation tarnished
walking slowly in defeat now, crying
each step pounding slowly with intent
a lethargic muddy pentatonic tune
sad look to petrify ones heart

    That was great. I love the image that you found to go along with it. It really set the mood. Nice that my word was first. ;)
