Excalibur, I am not the one
Such a precious relic married to stone,
To free its essence is to rule the throne;
One side gleams with possibilities,
Destiny flutters before ones eyes;
I stand there dazed as if in a trance,
Sweat gleaming from my brow;
My destiny lies here and now,
Forever my life shall change;
My hands caress the hilt of the blade,
There is no fear Destiny will be made;
My knuckles whiten with my strength of grip,
The blade gleams mirroring the fire in my heart;
Effortlessly I pull the blade from its sheath,
I cry out victoriously and hold the blade aloft;
My mind snaps to as the blade seems stuck,
I tug until my tendons are near burst;
The blade lies unfazed laughing at me,
My dreams are fickle, the moment is lost.
