Today’s humorous poem is dedicated to parents everywhere who have tried to get a picky kid to eat. This poem was inspired by the 9 words provided (in blue) by the following twitter followers:
@RobinJP (colorful), @concisionflux (aardvark), @RemBeatZ (cherub), @purple_froggy (bonehead), coffeetablepoet (perjure), @waynejohn (orange), @santasdevil (soggy), @kateblogs (sagacious), @filigreegirl (tchotchke)

Feeding A Toddler

Picking up the spoon gingerly
as if it were some sort of tchotchke
toddler with a cherub like face
studying the food like a sagacious sleuth
playing with the texture at first
reacting as if some bonehead cooked this
and it were aardvark instead of chicken
a putrid colorful rotten soggy orange
and your praise of its flavor and taste
were nothing more than desperate perjure
your pleas fall on deaf ears again
just another dinner evening it seems
trying to feed a toddler
