End the Fight

A harrowing ordeal
dark emotions congeal
swimming in a pool of sharks
as lightning fury arcs

For better or for worse
this blessing now a curse
anger ringing like a bell
every day a burning hell

Final thoughts to end these days
counting all the different ways
simple silence in a sleepless night
painless end to this eternal fight

    The problem is, they both want to win,
    No one wants to give in;
    It is always I, me and mine,
    Love is lost, never fine.

    The only time it’s about you,
    When no one else is to blame, how true;
    When there’s no God and both don’t care,
    Following, instead, the Prince of the Power of the Air.
