Today’s poem is about two long term friends who had some sort of dispute, only to rekindle their friendship after it festered too long. Poem was inspired by the 14 random words (in blue) provided by the twitter followers below:

Friendship Reborn

A growing friendship tremulously lost
respect morphologically changes to inimical revenge
palimpsest of apologies crumbled in reply
guilt and anger continue to fester and ail him
crapulous behavior finally boils over
a face to face confrontation bound for trouble
hasty drive before parking in front of the home
a call to the constable only moments away
the door swings open, preparing for flying fists
instead something strikes and anger abates
an old friends eyes well with apologies
and like a candle flame snuffed out
friendship reborn from the ashes
