Today’s poem was inspired by the word cholesterol and everything just fell into place so easily once the theme came to be. It is about watching someone just abuse their body through food. (Sure, none of us have ever been gluttonous…..right). Thanks to the following people for playing today, I had 13 random words today (in blue):

Gluttony

What he eats would make you queasy
Saddles collected around his waist

His heart under torture for sure
An airplane crash waiting to happen

Cholesterol rising to a new milestone
Distance between a heart attack narrowing

Would he relinquish control of his life
All for the sake of flavor and taste

That his health would be with him forever
A fading dream in this frustrated reality

It all could be over in an instant
The average blunderbuss wouldn’t care

Never to hear another tomtit chirp
While you eat breakfast in the morning

Hope on the horizon should he have courage
Don’t let him eat himself to death
