Green Brood: Random Twitter Poem for Feb 5th

Today’s poem Green Brood is based off of my real world fight with the weeds that are invading my front and back yard, I have used every weed killer on the market and yet my landscaping is invaded by these desert weeds.  This poem was inspired by the 8 random words (in bold) provided by the following Twitter players:
@mollydcampbell (thistle), @viceblogger (Brood), @goodyniosi (capitulate), @ricepoint1 (Beinn Bhreagh) , @dave_your_fave (burnt), @solomonobaje (Decant), @shanearthur (explode), @sakinazb (success)

Green Brood

Brood of green thistle
explode from some Beinn Bhreagh
their success at spreading
as they decant across yards
making me want to capitulate
imagining burnt vegetation
instead of these wretched
vile weeds spreading forth
