Griffin Exchange – Random Twitter Poem for June 15th

Today’s random twitter poem is about a mighty Griffin who sometimes makes bargains with people and will trade for its treasure. Inspired by the word “griffin” provided I thought it a little whimsical and fun. I often do mythological beast poems and have done similar ones previously. Thanks to the following people for the 11 random words (in blue) provided:
@theotherbed (snarky), @Zorlone (griffin), @R_Arblaster (orgasmatron), @JenaIsle (prestidigitation), @RemBeatZ (customers), @cjweb (articulate), @anefallarme (nougatocity), @twitlaureate (penultimate), @Zorlone (terracotta), @stnmoon (tools), @lejonprime (rictus)
Griffin Exchange
Creature with body of a savage lion
head of a some mammoth eagleThe griffin stands royal and majestic
rictus of its mouth emitting non articulate noisesTerracotta colored feathers ruffle in the wind
claws, razer sharp like deadly tools firmly plantedUnsure of whether you will be a customer
or the monster’s next fancy mealYou bring out your offering and hold it up
a snarky expression on the giant eagle faceIn a disturbingly eerie prestidigitation
The creature rises on its back legs and roarsThe scream sending tingles up your spine
sensation not unlike one by an orgasmatronPenultimate thoughts swept away in silence
feeling of nougatocity numbing your coreAs it turns out, the creature accepts your offering
and plucks it from your hands with surprising graceSliding over a single golden object, a treasure
you realize the bargain was successful-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Another great poem
Thanks , DB, I enjoyed it. I remember the Merlin Series in which Sir Lancelot slayed the Griffin. Cheers!
This is a cool poem! At first I thought you would sacrifice a man for it’s meal with these lines;
Unsure of whether you will be a customer
or the monster’s next fancy meal,
then you let him live. he he he. I didn’t think of this whimsical at all. It’s like a page in a book. By the way, when are you going to start writing your story? Just asking.

As it turns out, I can write poems in 15 minutes or less, but finding the time to write a 1000 word short story part is very hard to do, also I saw very little interest and visits from readers in the prep for my short story, so am focused on my poetry which seems to be what my readers want.
I had my doubts, but you used my word flawlessly!
Whew, and words today were extra hard to put together!:D Awesome Justin!
Thank you, some days are definitely more challenging than others, today wasn’t too bad though, once I knew Griffin would be my theme.
