Today’s poem congealed into a poem about Sexual Harassment and tells the story of a woman being harassed, only to reflect on how this goes on all over the world.  Today’s poem was my largest twitter poem so far, and included 21 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers:

Some definitions to make the poem easier to understand:
Rivoli is a small town in Italy
Manumit is to be released from slavery or servitude
hotstuff isn’t a true word, but kind of a slang term in this poem
sluice box - is a mining device used to filter water and minerals
zoanthropy - is the condition of thinking you are an animal
Peeps – is slang for people or friends

Harassment

Bullying egotistical prick
being hotstuff around his peeps
acting as if he were blessed
with a golden phallus

Though full of integrity
you could not be immune
his audacious comments flowing
like water through a sluice box

indignity of being treated this way
like a rapacious gregarious enchantress
you are not suffering from zoanthropy
not to be treated like an animal or object

The cacophonous sound of laughter
most unwelcome providence indeed
anger etched on your face
replaced by a cruel smirk

Waved away when the fun was over
as if it were a manumit experience
later in solitude, lucidity slowly returns
while performing a nightly yoga ritual

You reflect how from the big cities
to small towns like Rivoli
this same scene repeats worldwide
a global issue of society
