As a father of two boys I wrote this poem to be from the perspective of the Father reflecting on Father’s day, it is how I feel about raising my own two sons.

I AM A FATHER

I n everything that I have done

A ll my dreams and hopes
M et just by looking at you

A lways in my heart and mind

F ace looking like your mother
A nd a fiery soul to match
T ime gallops too quickly
H oping I have done enough
E ach moment with you is my gift
R aising you to be the best you can be is my goal
