Immersed Again is a poem about being so into a book that you just can’t put it down and have to read it cover to cover, how many of you have felt like that about a book or series? This poem was inspired by the 15 random submissions (in blue) provided by the following Twitter players today:
@Ileane (meandering), @Wwm_Shakespeare (immediacy), @BlazingMinds (orismology), @grnladybug (peacefulness), @HeatherM74 (exodus), @GeorgiaMist (felicity), @GalexyGirl (propriety), @geb0i (fiascos), @GinaJennings98 (ornery), @purple_froggy (frosted), @sonlinebiz (fabulousity), @stevejclark (asunder), @teambudd1 (delectable), @mcaption (hungry poetry), @Quillville (irritant)
Immersed Again
Meandering over the suspenseful immediacy
frosted delectable novelty of fiction
plot requiring orismology to decipher
peacefulness disrupted by fiascoes
like an exodus of hungry poetry
irritant propriety a discarded fabulousity
as ornery felicity is torn asunder
completely engrossed cover to cover
you are immersed in reading again

Update: I some how missed @Quillville who provided the word “irritant” so I injected it into the poem after the poem was already published. I felt it fit well where I put it.
