Lavender Rain – Random Twitter Poem for May 13th

Funny but for some reason I saw the word I missed lavender from the previous day, and the word torrential and the word “Purple Rain” popped into my head (probably from the movie or song by Prince), so I thought why not my own version of Lavender Rain and this is what came out. Today’s poem included 12 random words (in blue), thanks to the following twitter followers:
@martinhagvall (Futuristic), @solitarypanda (lavender), @shemah (mantra), @anefallarme (quirks), @MisterBinAZ (Redial), @Zorlone (torrential), @RemBeatZ (pump), @jamiain (lax), @johannaharness (maddeningly), @Jan_Geronimo (purloin), @filigreegirl (graveur), @evliving (incipient)
Lavender Rain
Is it one of nature’s quirks
or driven by a deity’s mantra
such maddeningly futuristic appeal
what was once an incipient lax drizzle
accelerates into a torrential downpour
water carving earth as an artistic graveur
as if to purloin life from this world
calling at first for the end
then demanding it with a redial
we all just sit and watch
as the sky continues to pump out
the lavender rain that falls-Poem by Dragon Blogger
