Longing – Random Twitter Poem for Jan 27th

Longing is about a person who desires companionship which is amplified after having a dream about such. It was inspired by the 12 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers:
@anahbird (shelter), @houseofpuroy (vulnerable), @GeB0i (threnody), @blusol (caustic), @SurfCityJay (resources), @ConnieFoggles (snuggle), @Dawnie22 (starshine), @filigreegirl (anxiety), @omgzam (bane), @barbehr (evacuation), @Williamm49 (hallucinate), @MetallmanX (renovations), @AttilaBS (premiership)

Longing

Did you hallucinate what happened?
some evacuation of sanity and reason
or mental renovations caused by stress
lying naked, vulnerable under the starshine
icy bane cold violating your skin at first
then you felt a warm body riddled with anxiety
a peaceful lovingly warm snuggle, you felt so safe
your only shelter from the night’s caustic resources
was it imagined? It felt so real, so tangible
dream like threnody leaving you hollow
trapped in the premiership of loneliness
with a longing that may never be filled

    Writing poetry is difficult enough. To use words provided by others in your writing takes amazing talent! I enjoyed this very much.

      Thank you very much, I really enjoy doing it. I find it more fun to be “challenged” with random words, and oddly I never lose inspiration to find and create a poem with this game, when sometimes normally I can have a block and can’t think of a poem to write when trying to on my own.
