I rule over all that is mine
Destruction comes from a whim
Malice born in every babies heart
Suffering is all we know

A kingdom of fences
Walling in the pain and sorrow
There is only today and no tomorrow
All that hates lives here

As for the poem above, I loved the imagery. Definitely a depressing poem once you think about it. I like it. Depressing is good sometimes. It reminds you of where you’ve been, where you are and what you need to get where you want to go, as long as you don’t get trapped.

What about a happy poem that is aimed at children, everyone likes children. I think your poem could be a bit too violent.
