Today’s poem Misspoken Phrase is about having a conversation and accidentally offending someone (who hasn’t had that happen at least once?). This poem was inspired by the 13 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers:
@Piratelover22 (exuberant), @blusol (unconditional), @Im4tun8 (pro-cycling), @AMYA7 (balloonist), @shonie1966 (perfect), @dalekcat (salubrious), @mikki_fit (apprehensive), @denthewise (obvious), @ryjr (palaver), @JenaIsle (liquefaction), @RemBeatZ (production), @purple_froggy (pumpkin), @damien_riley (quotation)

Misspoken Phrase

A conversation once light and exuberant
like a pro-cycling balloonist clown
one obvious apprehensive quotation
and perfect salubrious palaver runs amuck
gentle respect undergoes liquefaction
as a production of unconditional anger
rises forth like a giant monstrous pumpkin
stemming the tide with quick apologies
a frame of humility and embarrassment
from a simple misspoken phrase
