Today’s poem is about a creature that in mountains and feeds from the beasts of the land, it is inspired by an astounding 20 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers:
@tekchic (monkey), @filigreegirl (breloque), @howelegant (everlasting), @shemah (auspicious), @Zorlone (landslide), @Oneunder2001 (sharp), @denthewise (autobiography), @evliving (autopsy), @RobinJP (stairway), @katheesue (advocate), @ashchuan (thunderstorm), @JessicaSieghart (pretzel), @Aluwir (sasquatch), @RemBeatZ (dijonnaise), @santasdevil (restraining), @neobluepanther (rank), @slightlysick (niggardly), @PowerJourneys (ruminating), @franscud (superfluous), @dreamon51 (fellwalking)
For those who don’t know what a “fellwalker” is, I had to look at the wiki here myself – FellWalking
Mountain Beast
Sasquatch fellwalker sitting on a cave stairway
chasing a monkey through a thunderstorm
superfluous breloque chain hanging
like an advocate of death from your side
Rank beast with sharp eyes
and even sharper claws and teeth
ruminating over the hunt about to begin
everlasting rain running down your fur
Auspicious luck as prey darts too close
you pile down on the deer like a landslide
restraining kicking legs and bleating mouth
twisting your prey like a grisly pretzel
Not needing any dijonnaise to savor your kill
you consume flesh, organs and bone niggardly
killing and consuming; your life’s autobiography
when you are finished, nothing to autopsy remains
