New Sunglasses is a comical poem about somebody looking cool in new shades (or at least thinking they do). It was inspired by the 12 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers:

New Sunglasses

Commanding respectful greetings from naysayers
like a cold renegade invoking a wretched scandal
a whimsical eclectic fantasy dreamt quickly
when you see them waiting in the garage
begging to be removed from the morass
and feeling recombinant, a lost memory regained
as you slide them over your eyes slowly
vision dimmed, confidence brightening
you hastily exit the door strutting
in your slick new wholesale sunglasses

Ever know somebody who had an object or belonging that made them think they were cool or on top of the world, what item was it?  I know many people who have talked about their sunglasses being “designer brand” or  walked around showing off a purse…etc.
