Parenting Troubles is a poem about a parent who was resting or meditating only to be disturbed by children fighting and punishing the kids. This poem was inspired by my own life (joking, I think) and by the 17 random words (in blue) provided below:
@Piratelover22 (meditation), @blusol (grounded), @anefallarme (frustrated), @Zorlone (pandemonium), @TrinaMb (finally), @miriella (ecstatic), @jmbuckingham (longing), @JessicaGottlieb (shot), @Karee13 (vestal), @inab2 (dialectic), @shonie1966 (fallen), @AnnEvanston (disruptive), @purple_froggy (cast), @mikki_fit (theocracy), @KathrynVercillo (returning), @RemBeatZ (conjugated), @Jemfyr (bergamot)

Parenting Troubles

Frustrated, longing for peace and quiet
disruptive pandemonium draining sanity
ecstatic play turning into a raging battle
dialectic questioning spurs only retaliatory remarks
no vestal theocracy could decipher who started it
a sharp vicious glance shot, silencing the shouting
fallen behavior not tolerated, justice is metered
conjugated punishments cast, children are grounded
you then enter your bergamot oil scented chamber
finally returning to a state of meditation
