I wanted to write something for New Years and thought a crossroads type of poem would be a good place to start. This poem just wrote itself as I started to think about things like resolutions, 2nd chances and future potential.

New Chances
A chance to win what was lost
a chance to change at any cost
A reason to be something greater
a reason to become an original creator
A prospect of something to finally win
a prospect to right a previous sin
A gift of hindsight to get things right
a gift of future that shines so bright
A hope that a world will be in healing
a hope that more people will start feeling
A time to do something previously planned
a time to finally take that last stand
