Poem: Cleaning Time
Poem inspired by having to do housework, sometimes you have to just get down and dirty with a bucket, mop, sponges and spend the hours cleaning every room (especially the bathroom) from top to bottom.
Cleaning Time
With a bucket and a mop
cleaning bathroom vanity and top
scrubbing the floor
and patching a gore
cleaning frenzy non-stop
Paper towels are swiped
as mirrors are wiped
purging the room
with your dusty broom
and nobody griped
Certainly not a louse
now a fully cleaned house
you’ve been meaning
to do the cleaning
now having a happy spouse

Let me share you my peom about cleaning time as it really make sense:
"Backward, turn backward, O, time, in your flight And give me the house that I slept in last night, My bed in the corner so cozy and snug, The chair and the couch and the beautiful rug. They are vanished and gone like a tale that is told, And the floor of the room looks so cheerless and cold. For bedding I have but a thin gunny sack And I shudder to move lest I step on a tack.
