A darker poem depicting those trying to run from living terror only to realize they were running from themselves.

We Scream

We walk together through dark shadows
unable to see what it all means
where mistakes become friends
and friends become forgotten
our dreams become living nightmares
and despair comforts us together
while we run from banshee wails
only to realize that we were
the ones screaming all along
