Being so oblivious to the world around you while typing, browsing or reading on cell phones and tablets has lead to more than one accident not just for people who text while driving but simply those who text while walking down streets as is depicted in this short poem.
Struck
Strolling down a busy street
staring down at a small screen
world of importance in fingertips
he kept talking without even speaking
when others leaped he just kept walking
an event unnoticed; just the little screen
a brief distraction right before darkness
struck by something he should have seen
