Sweet Escapes
Daily pressures making us fall
sometimes it’s the sweet escapes
that bring meaning to it all
Just randomly running away somewhere
these times, just the two of us
living momentarily without a care
These cherished escapes to recover
connect; laugh and play with each other
realizing just how much I love her
Partaking in too many forbidden crepes
time mastered for the moment it seems
looking forward to our sweet escapes
