Todays twitter poem consisted of 7 random words (in blue) provided by my twitter followers:
@PlotDog (reticence), @cheth (flames), @KnightDiver (leathery), @Sweetnote (manic), @infohwyman (piecemeal), @jamiain (silence), @Miragi (antiquated)
The Arena
Flames danced at the edges of the pit
Warriors stood glaring at each others eyes
Manic laughter bursting from one man’s lips
Reticence filled the other man who bared no chips
“Leathery armor stands no match against my sword”
The vicious man cackled in a great display
Crowds cheered for the obvious favorite
The man decorated in piecemeal half-plate
Only silence from the man with no visible weapon
who bowed respect to his overconfident attacker
Had he fear, anger or courage no one could tell
The arena itself looked like the pits of hell
The crowd favorite lunged at the quiet gladiator
A fatal swing of his blade and the battle would be over
It was too late that he learned his final lesson
His antiquated combat style ineffective
The silent man deftly avoided the blade
A swift kick and his opponent fell tripped
Agility to match a cheetah the man lunged
A blow to his opponents neck, an echoing crack
The battle was over in less than fifteen seconds
The crowd was stunned in silence
A few cheers followed by applause
The silent man cared not that he now ruled the arena.
