The Fallen Windmill
Scream of the wind howling in your ears
A friendship forged between cloud and sky
The windmill stands, a blender of air
Sensing something dangerous about to occur
Trying to formulate conclusions on what happens nextSuddenly struck with a brilliant flash
As if it were victuals for the energy beast
Blustery sound deafening for miles
Stone and steel buckle and fall
Penance paid for stirring the skyLightning strikes, it is a statistical fact
Yet as the crumbled ruined structure falls
A deer resembling Bambi scurries away from falling rock
An ancient construction project comes to an end
A sigh escapes your lips as you just watch-Poem by Dragon Blogger
