Fallen Into A Trance

Sitting here with you, a day just like the rest
Except a frivolity and chaotically playful mood strikes
Soon you are suffering from my whimsical actions

A flick of the wrist and on comes the satellite music
A library of song after song assails our ears
My hand extended I pull you to your feet

Your butterscotch hair framing your beautiful face
A feral smile etches its way onto my face
Contemplation of my every action invades your mind

A tribute to our love begins that moment
A slow dance on the carpet around a couch
Such a simple action yet one so cherished

As I stare into her beautiful eyes
The music fades into a distant cacophony of sound
Seeing her stare back into my own gaze

How could I have ever felt unwanted
I am not being some silly old cheeseball
I could procrastinate no further

I could not help myself
Standing here, Dancing here you and I
I have fallen into a trance
