Today’s random twitter poem consisted of 11 words provided to me on twitter and one from plurk.  I am going to be expanding my random twitter poems to reach out on plurk as well as twitter for even great variety and participation in the future.  Thanks to the following people who provided words (in blue):

A Day At The Zoo

A fleet of children run around the zoo
Everything happy, all fine and dandy
Clothes besmirched by cotton candy

Parading about from cage to cage
Exotic beasts from predator to prey
Excitement palpable this warm winter day

The next exhibit known as a great cat
A jaguar sleeping high up in a tree
Majestic spotted form for all to see

Rats shown in small rectangle tanks
Creatures once who brought a pestiferous plague
The details of which are a little vague

The sea creatures continue to delight
Dolphin graceful and elegent almost take flight
Splashing down creating a wonderful sight

A girl wearing a dress printed with freesia and fruit
With Apples, Bananna’s and pineapples in print
She is running through the zoo at a sprint

Caring for these animals are their passion
Of these dozens of creatures some quite rare
Zookeepers try not to be fallible in their care

How we enjoy viewing all of these things
And are thankful these animals are still around
One day in this world some will no longer be found
