Random Twitter Poem For January 29th
- Audio Poetry, twitter poems
-
I actually read this poem aloud and included the audio at the top of the post.
Todays twitter poem came together quite unexpectedly and turned into a creative poem about a person whose job is to track sharks. I was thinking of Discovery Channel and Shark Hunters when I wrote the poem which consisted of 10 random words (in blue) from the following followers:
@coyotesqrl (ferocious), @SurfCityJay (job), @danielklotz (cable), @blm03 (cold), @wizzardsblog (yoda), @BlazingMinds (industry), @shaboom (plums), @Dr_Dalek (wasteland), @rockalong (zeal), @summerbreeze80 (expropriator)
Tagging The Shark
Diving off the ship with nerves of steel
His task at hand and done with zeal
The ocean water he was about to feelThe vast blue sea so very grand
The furthest thing from a wasteland
There he spotted his target just as plannedStill holding the cable line
A cold chill running up his spine
Just when he thought he would be fineA ferocious beast of fin and teeth
That swam under him, just beneath
Chum floating around him like a wreathSimply a job, just tag and run
Terror swept over him as he aimed his gun
Icy cold waters, his nerves nearly undoneThis industry is like no other you would concur
Hoping for calm like Yoda the Jedi master
To avoid what could be a huge disasterLittle darts shot through the dark
Finding the path to their mark
The dorsal fin of the great white sharkThey were amazingly accurate shots
Hitting exactly the right spots
The color of plums little rubber dotsAs if the monster were an expropriator
His life almost taken for being an invader
He would board the ship sooner or laterTagging sharks is scary and dangerous work
He tugs on the cable then with a jerk
But the scenery and wonder is quite a perk-Poem by Dragon Blogger

This is the first time that I read your poems. You’re one of a kind, that’s for sure. You have a unique way of putting words together too.
Keep up the good work! =)
