Bedroom Jungle

The jungle of the bedroom my favorite place
Orange candles glow illuminating the dark
Glorious winter wind blowing through an open window
The night is late and yet so very young

This is no meaningless bleary passion
Like the kind sung by some two bit rapper
Our burgeoning desire about to come to fruition
A precipitous mountain of pillows scattered around

Your moist lips gently parted as I breathe in your soul
Our eyes kiss each others hearts as our minds melt as one
The candles flicker but the fire pales compared to our own
The cold window breeze blushes as it passes over us

Hours melt like the candle wax
Desires met with candied rapture
Is there a moment in life where all is perfect?
That moment is stolen here this night
