Roads of Life
Desolate roads lead into the horizon
Several paths I could take
Some of them death, Some of them life
Some of them a more horrible fate
A fate that teases and taunts with precious moments of happiness
Which is far outweighed by the dreary moments of sadness and failure

So I have chosen a road
A mighty road among many
A road so vast that it swallows other roads
A road that called to me proclaiming it was the right path
I followed this road and have taken many steps
The road is lined with razor blades

At first only my shoes were cut
I did not realize the error of my way
Once the blades buried into my flesh
It was far to late to turn back
I struggled on, hoping that the razors would clear
For now the cuts continue to sting
