Sunshine flooded through broken glass
pattern of fleeting quirky shadows mocking
a philanthropic flirt of his lunar mistress
flabbergast on being entangled in this quandary
magnanimous fash crashed like climategate scandal
wave of neophobia and a now unstable future sickening
envy turning into regret over one bovine evening

I am taking bovine in its alternative meaning which is “dull” in this poem.
In that case, scrap my interpretation hehehe. Still, it’s a darn good poem Justin!

That is funny that the poem flashes that imagery, I love seeing how people interpret poems.
The alternative interpretation for me in this poem was from the words “lunar mistress.”
Tsk tsk tsk… that is a fatal error man and you would surely be in trouble for that.

Right, remember “Bovine” means dull in this poem, really enjoyed spinning this one, was 19 random words and one of my favorite poems I have written in a while.

I just zoned out, and an image of Tiger Woods came to mind. Maybe this explains the ‘explosion’ (the crash, not the 9-iron) and ‘lunar mistress.’ I’m a sad case. lol
You didn’t zone out, that is what actually inspired the poem, or a theme quite like it. It is about someone making that mistake and waking up with regret and a scene of violence (sunshine through broken glass)…etc.
