Soul Stone

Rocks
Falling on my soul
Dragging me to hell
Jagged granite shards
Shredding my sanity
Tearing my spirit
As it tumbles endlessly
A thin veil stretched
My soul a skin
Scarred and tattered
Discarded clothing
A rock found between
At my core
Chipped and battered
But still there
My essence exists
I exist for now
In this small stone
In a pond
Next to so many others
As we erode
Slowly
Over Time
