Strength of Loss
Unfold this map and you will see
Uncharted lands there will beLove found strength when none existed
Even when lives were strained and twistedFour years gone and my flame still burns
Her love, her time, my heart still yearnsRemembering the insurmountable odds against us
Every time I watched you climb back on that busI prayed each day to find you home alive
Drained and worried, just begging you’ll surviveThe news came, that you were never coming back
The shuddering sound as my heart just crackNifty memories of you, scattered on my kitchen table
All to be told now, as it were, but a miserable fableEvery molecule of patience being tested
My trust, emotions and life simply arrestedUnexpected hope and support from abroad
At first not believing, suspecting a fraudSlowly through time and the help of others
Leaning on people, not just my friends but brothersA surreptitious guffaw swept over me some time later
I had buried my pain and moved past being a haterNow I honor this woman for the rest of my days
For her strength and courage in my own personal ways-Poem by Dragon Blogger

This is a good poem about loss and strength after losing the love of his life.

Zorlones last blog post..The Ice King’s Vow
i saw this and totally had to do my own.
it’s called throat bubble
uncharted waters and love for the sea
remembering all the nifty memories of your childhood
like a sunken treasure buried deep within your locker of a head
then your thoughts are drained and the
amount of energy you lose is insurmountable
the last molecule of your breath escapes you
in one miserable surreptitious guffaw
one outwards gasp of aged dust
no need for patience, for you are dead
and there’s nothing left to wait for
You worked my word “uncharted” in there well. What an uncharted course that would be if I lost my wife. Well done, great poem.

Sad poem but very nice.
Thank you for reading it and sharing your comment.
I agree with Zorlone, this is a wonderful poem. While it is very sad, but it does speak volumes and will love and loss. And I think we have all gone through situations where we can relate to this.
Thanks for your input and feedback on the poem.
Thank u for your share.
Life is like a tea table, with bitter cups placed all over it.
