Today’s poem is another theme I have done before and in my personal life, it is a sad poem that I have seen and faced myself in public schools growing up as tens of thousands of other kids have as well. Thanks to my twitter followers for providing the 14 random words (in blue) today:

@kgresham (blather), @reginasuniverse (peaceful), @KathrynVercillo (puffy), @worryknot (abnegate), @rockalong (freebie), @thedoomeduk (ersatz), @azredneck (beef), @solitarypanda (sycophant), @JenaIsle (tergiversation), @R_Arblaster (unfathomable), @evliving (heartburn), @RemBeatZ (Universities), @katheesue (indigestion), @prophets (unfettered)

Bullies

A difference of opinion turned awry
Instead of tergiversation or peaceful blather
a unfathomable swollen puffy eye

A painful ersatz unfettered freebie rendition
reduced to a mere sycophant
you abnegate your position

Forking over your money
You will be hungry today
They laugh as if it were funny

While they dine and feast on today’s beef
You nurse your wounds and injured pride
consoled only by silence and grief

Cursing them to suffer heartburn and indigestion
during break from the Universities classes
they should atone their violent and hostile aggression
