Dragon Blogger Random Haikus

   Posted by: dragonblogger    in Haiku

I had used some of these Haiku’s for a contest and many never ended up as admissions so instead of letting them go to waste decided to make a blog post with all my random Haiku’s from last week.

Random Haikus

Love is Lost This Day
You Split My Heart To Pieces
Choking On Your Tears

My Lady Drives Me
All Day And Night To Passion
Crash Amongst These Pillows

Being Afraid Sucks
Life Passes You By All Day
Trapped In Your Own Mind

Feel Like A Burger
Stomach is Growling At Me
Must Go To Lunch Now

Tweet This And Tweet That
Tweety Bird Is Afraid Of Cat
Poor Poor Puddy Cat

Save These Ten Digits
On Them Your Life Will Depend
One Call Will Save You

My Wife Would Love Gift
MacBook Is The Perfect One
I Win I Have Fun

A Flight Away Is
All I Will Be This Week Son
I Will Be Home Soon

Severing Pinkies
Severing Thumbs And Toes
Fingers In A Jar

Only More Is Less
Only Less Is More Sometimes
You Figure It Out

Fate Has Its Moments
Lovers Trapped In An Embrace
Passion Is Not Lost

Truth Between The Sheets
This Girl Completes Me Tonight
She Shall Be My Wife

Poetic Justice
The Irony Is Foretold
Go Seek Forgiveness

I Am Not Your Possession

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Dark Poems

I Am Not Your Possession

Love me from a distance
Love me from close up
Love me for who I am
I am not your possession

I am owned by no one
Spirit that is unclaimed
You may think I am yours but,
I am not your possession

My freedom reigns my soul is hungry
Tormented and unsettled for eternity
I seek some comfort, instead I get hounded
I am not your possession

I am here because I want to be
Take comfort in that for now
My actions are there if you read them right
I am not your possession

Show me you understand
Show me you still want to partake in me
Show me you can handle this
I am not your possession

But I can be your love

The Chef - Part 2

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Misc Poems

This was the 2nd part of the 2 part chef poem that I wrote for my wife as a tribute to her completing culinary school and graduating.

The Chef - Part 2
Have you ever seen a talent with such pure passion
One who gives so much effort for your own enjoyment
Slaves in the heat and gives sweat and sometimes blood
All for their art
I can only stare in awe while she works her wizardry
Reagents are scattered all over the countertop
The smells fill the air and bring her to life
She is moving in rhythm so fast and graceful
Controlling every thought multitasking extreme
Having four dishes cooking at the same time
How can anyone do this, I think to myself
It seems like a divine gift one who has so much control
And she does it all for me
She can bring the sweet sensations to my mouth
All for her art
One can only be stunned by the incredible scene
Of a chef at work, they know no bounds

The Chef - Part I

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Misc Poems

This poem is dedicated to my wife and I wrote this while she worked her way through culinary school to become a chef.

The Chef – Part I
As I enter the kitchen, my white attire glowing
Cool air is pungent with the scent of art flowing
A new recipe tonight a brand new creation
Ingredients fly in a new preparation
The Heat is thick and sweat is brewing
Some wine is added to the sauce that is stewing
One dish is done and brought to a chill
Mysical colors are vivid and flavor a thrill
So I keep up my magic and add some more salt
Dish number two is perfect I can find no fault
Tables are covered with remains of the art
I spoon up a sample and taste it is tart
Passions of my creation all lie complete
Guests are in awe, delighted at this treat
My pride beams high as I see their delight
Enjoyment over my art brings me a good night

The Spoon

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Misc Poems

The Spoon
Whether icy cold or blisteringly hot
You are plunged into clear or murky depths
You are spun wildly your gleaming leg above the surface
Slowly tapered you drink and come afloat
Holding what you have tasted, you are summoned to me
Your prize then is siphoned, and you are cast again
Reeling in the liquid time and time again
Until satiation is reached, then you are released
Only to be called again.

The Fork

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Misc Poems

The Fork
How the light gleams off that metal skin,
Your sharp tips ready to dive into flesh,
Even as you taste the meat you’re moving,
Slowly and steadily pulling your victim to me,
You are under my control your victim taken,
And as I feast upon what you have staked,
You are forced to seek another morsel,
This pattern repeats, for you time is endless.
But once I am done you are cast away,
Ready to be used another day.

The Lightning

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Misc Poems

The Lightning
With a hot breath and a brief flash
Passing in the blink of an eye
There you stand in awe
Perceiving yet unable to act

Ozone stinging your senses
Deafening thunder knocking you down
Reeling in terror unable to think
Moments pass

You realize you are living
A stroke of luck
Or a decision from a forgiving god
The tree behind you is split in two

Its charred and flaming trunk
Protesting that it should have been you
The chance to make up for past misdeeds
Is granted and you are fortunate

Cherish

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Love Poems

Cherish
Cherish those you appreciate the most
in a flash they could become a ghost

look past the trifle things
and appreciate all beings

The seeds of time cannot heal all by itself
it takes effort and patience and belief in oneself

mistakes are made, people are fallible
but morals are taught, the spirit is malleable

love and learn is the lesson in life
treat those with respect and do what is right

Breaking the Mold

Posted by: dragonblogger    in Love Poems

Breaking the Mold
The gods created a mold for man and woman
from this mold they seeded the earth
with thousands of humans of every size and color
who flourished and prospered
The gods then tried to make an image of themselves
from the mold they forged they tweaked a bit
a being of pure birth should arise
one to equal them in beauty and wit
Their toils were worth it for she was born
a single woman who stands out against them all
her hair was like the earthen mountains wrapped in silk
her face was exquisite marble and pure as rain
Her mind was sharper than the most keen blade
her power staggered most mortal beings
the gods were in awe of what they had created
the being created was the most perfect of all
As if in defiance of such a gift
the mold sundered behind this mortal girl
the gods tried for decades to fix it
only to find it irreparable
Only a single woman would have this gift
no others could be made the same way again
a being who encapsulates everything mortal and immortal
They broke the mold making you.
