The Spoon

The Spoon
Whether icy cold or blisteringly hot
You are plunged into clear or murky depths
You are spun wildly your gleaming leg above the surface
Slowly tapered you drink and come afloat
Holding what you have tasted, you are summoned to me
Your prize then is siphoned, and you are cast again
Reeling in the liquid time and time again
Until satiation is reached, then you are released
Only to be called again.

The Fork

Misc Poems

The Fork
How the light gleams off that metal skin,
Your sharp tips ready to dive into flesh,
Even as you taste the meat you’re moving,
Slowly and steadily pulling your victim to me,
You are under my control your victim taken,
And as I feast upon what you have staked,
You are forced to seek another morsel,
This pattern repeats, for you time is endless.
But once I am done you are cast away,
Ready to be used another day.

Goddess Before Me
(Dedicated to Shona M. Daily-Germino)

Radiant stars on a dream filled landscape
The visions of splendor bring euphoria
My gaze turns to stone as I stand entranced
Fixed staring at the goddess before me
That goddess is you.

10 Nov 2009

Butterfly is today’s poem about being transfixed by a butterfly that leaves ones spirits lifted, it was inspired by the 9 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers:
@Zorlone (alliance), @hacksbay (peace), @SarahKeene (Odoriferous), @Piratelover22 (enclose), @JeffHicks (sapphire), @dmbrown111 (butterfly), @shaboom (sublimate), @R_Arblaster (triangulating), @TrinaMb (vulnerable)

Butterfly

Vulnerable sapphire butterfly
triangulating on an odoriferous flower
alliance of peace between plant and bug
nothing to sublimate it from its pollen obsession
its delicate majesty enthralls your eyes
as its wings seem to enclose the flower petals
it finishes its work and moves onward in moments
my eyes linger on its blue wings in flight
and my spirits are lifted on its back

Turkey Run

Astonishment at the truthful superstition
all finally would end up as a steamy meal
with nobody to atone for their actions

A relational plan developed with much pizazz
they would extricate themselves from farm
sheathing themselves underground for safety

The plan however, went horribly wrong
a scout was not punctual in his return
focus distracted, the humans descended

A supposedly simple mission assigned
lead to a turkey massacre aftermath
inept espionage was the only blame

The turkey run had failed.
