Today’s poem is about maybe an ancient tribal person whose traditions and culture slowly are going away, yet he clings to ancient tradition or a way of life. It was inspired mostly by the word native and fire and includes all 11 random words (in blue) submitted by the following twitter followers:
@planetjefferson (daub), @jamiain (bleak), @concisionflux (squalid), @santasdevil (resonate), @JessicaGottlieb (poodle), @wishinghearts (native), @daNanner (fire), @MetallmanX (reverie), @RemBeatZ (odyssey), @hectica (glacially), @SusanBerland (patriarch), @barbehr (commitment)
All That Remains
He struggles, with each day a new odyssey
a glacially bleak squalid native existence
no patriarch to focus his reverie
like masterless poodle with no commitment
a small crackling fire seems to resonate
within the small decaying abode
walls covered with daub artwork
the loner sits like a desiccating insect
purpose lost with the crackling flames
his people gone, this time for good
and he is all that remains.-Poem by Dragon Blogger
This is my last Random Twitter Poem this week, I will be on Vacation and the next Twitter Poem will resume on Monday September 1st. Stay tuned, a new poem will still publish every day on my poetry blog while I am on vacation.
