I had some new contributors today and had a total of 9 random words provided to me from twitter which was the most number of random words so far in a single poem. The random words are highlighted in blue, I also tried to accomodate some people suggesting a rain theme, dark theme, light theme and blended it all into one poem. Thanks to the following people for providing me words: @bteddern,@craftyGAgal, @summerbreeze80, @wizard1974uk, @SurfCityJay, @coyotesqrl, @lejonprime, @Benjphoto, @IntegralChaotic
Wash Away These Troubles
Don’t discount the act of rain
cleansing the skies and your worries away
the wind spiralling the water around you
cast away your umbrellas and be baptizedIf you were angry let it be washed away
If you were sad drown your tears in the downpour
Let purity trickle from your fingers
The water cleanses despair from your bodyThe rain drops an infinite enumeration
Rectify your woes as the water does drought
So enjoy this tryst in the rain
Let it cleanse the boondocks around youAs your mind clears and your spirits soar
surfing through the sky your imagination lifts
as a digital traveler searching through firefox
you find a destination that untangles this webYou blink and awareness sets back in
drenched from head to toe you feel different
no more heavy heart and no more fears
your world is brought back into symmetry-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Seeking A Pact
Tired of this world and these unending toils
Looking in the mirror day after day
Only to see the same face staring back at you
Desperation drives you to find something elseYou have tried therapy to no avail
Hypnosis fails to induce sublimation
Drowning your sorrows and boredom in wine
On some days you teeter on the verge of deathWith a flagrant disregard for your own life
You call upon the dark evil governance
And meet on a frigid icy moonlit night
You hold palaver with the demons of the darkIn exchange for a new purpose and new life
They may have your soul in the end
You awake the next day a king among men
Wealth and power are at your fingertipsYou walk among your people who cower in fear
Those who derided you now show you respect
All seems to be going as planned
A slip on a walkway then breaks your neck-Dragon Blogger

Seeds of Darkness

Seeds of Darkness
Come forth creatures of night
From the shadow you are birthed
Ancient horrors have come to be
Sanity is cast from realityVisions have foretold this very day
Of monsters and ghasts with one intention
To rend your soul from your possession
And add it to their tallyDemons snarl and banshees howl
Your ears betray you and you mind unravels
Look upon these evil beings
And see your own reflection in the mirrorPoem by Dragon Blogger

Lies
You speak to me in a firestorm of deception
You would stain my soul and adulterate my heart
would you continue to accost my feelings like a one-armed bandit?
This web of deceit must endI cannot be sustained by this dark radiance
your words cut and sting without mercy
should someone learn how the web should be woven
your innocence will be undonewho knows your true motives and feelings
when you equivocate your intentions so
the truth lies in broken pieces
maybe I need to escape this insanity-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Twitter Random Poem For November 12th
- Dark Poems
-
12 Nov 2008
Today’s twitter poem consisted of seven words and I felt like writing a dark poem even before the words came in and it flowed even better with some of the provided words today. Let me know how this poem came out.
Loathing The World
With a lack of will and at a dreadful pace
You spread your hatred and loathing of time and space
While your hopes and dreams soar like an airplane
my crushing bitterness will end this soireeYou taste the bitter irony of the situation
which stings your tastebuds like raw mustard seed
you yourself never used to be this way
with your hyper negativity and pessimistic tendenciesThere is no reason for this capricious nature
what are the reasons to spew such vile words
and strike out against those who would try and help you
Anger and intolerence are your soliloquy aloneThe world is a vampire and all you want to do is feed it blood
blood of the innocent, blood of the meek
blood of the strong and blood of the weak
and when the world is satiated let the darkness come-Poem by Dragon Blogger
Thanks to the following people on twitter who provided me with today’s random words:Â @reginasuniverse, @miriella, @wizard1974uk, @lejonprime, @azredneck and @Imantion (who provided 2 words).
